This is only a Test!

Genesis 22

We have a familiar passage here where Abraham was tested by God. He was instructed to Go to a mountain to sacrifice his only son.

This was a journey that was used by God to see Abraham's commitment to God no matter what. It was also used as a tool in Gods toolbox to tune Abraham's hearing to the voice of God.

In the beginning of the Story we read how he heard the first part of instruction, then as he acts on what he hears, he gains progressive revelation on where he is going.

1. we need to be in tune with the voice of God on our journey. Your journey is a gym to exercise your hearing senses to know and understand the voice of God in this hour!

2. Abraham stepped out on what he knew, not what he didn't know. It is very important to follow instruction and not go ahead of God or you may miss his timing.

3.  Abraham on the 3rd day looked up and saw "the place" far off.  Many things happened on the 3rd day. The first 2 days were preparation for his 3rd day, where he looked up and Saw where he was to go.
there was no booming voice, but yet a "knowing"!

Sometimes we will just know that we know that this is the place! Start walking towards that place, God will continue giving you instruction along the way.
God is not interested in details because he wants us to walk by faith, not by sight!

Revelation is a "knowing" in your spirit, and you need to flow with it!

4. Abraham left his servants and donkeys behind and went on to the "place"

sometimes we will need to leave people behind that may hinder our progress. You are not assigned to everyone. but you are assigned to someone.

Leaving some people behind may be healthy for you in a season of your life.

5. Abraham answered his son when he questioned where the sacrifice was: God himself will provide was his response. Sometimes we say too much to people. Although Abraham was focused on the word of the Lord and was prepared to kill his son, he told his son, and prophesied that the lord would provide.

Be careful who you share your progress with. Some people may kill your dream.

6.  Abraham reaches the place for the sacrifice and then prepares Isaac and lifts the knife to kill him and he hears God again call his name.

If Abraham did not know the voice of God, He could have slayed his future!

The church is dying on past revelation. It is crippling their progress. God is continually calling us and giving us new revelation.

Abraham listened to God and provided a ram and sacrificed the substitute instead of his son!
Surely God did provide

May we understand the importance of obeying the voice of God.

Revelation is so necessary and vital to our outcomes in our lives.  God is always speaking progressively

Man cannot live by bread alone but by EVERY word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. There is a proceeding word, a creative word, a NOW word for you.

May your journey be the gym used to exercise hearing the glorious voice of the Lord!
and remember,

what you are going through is NOT about what you are going through! It is only a training ground to gain revelation and hear the next Word from God that will change your life!

God bless you~
